Elizabeth Kairys began her award-winning design career in 1993 in San Francisco. Her early training was in editorial print design through which she discovered her passion for typography, layout and art direction.
In 1995, Elizabeth began working at Salon.com as Art Director just as the web was in its inception. She continued at Salon for 5 years, overseeing and executing each of the annual site redesigns and building her experience with digital design, cutting-edge web development and management.
Elizabeth left Salon in 2001 to start her own design studio. Since then she has worked with a wide array of clients, including: Adaptive Path, Hot Studio, Flickr, McSweeney's, MOG, The World Health Organization and The American Academy of Pediatrics. Clients come to her for her unique ability to create a vibrant and elegant design while maintaining a clean and highly functional aesthetic. While Elizabeth's primary focus is visual design, she can also provide her clients with front-end development.
Elizabeth now lives in New York City.
